The Finals!

Here it is folks, the best of the best.

Agent Smith - Zeph @Zeph vs Thor - MarkR @MarkR

And the arena is.......

JOTUNHEIM!

Just kidding, it's Autostadt

Combatants have their powers in their ideal settings (eg Superman has been solar charged, Neo is in the Matrix, Namor is fully hydrated etc).

Win is by KO/death. Fleeing the battle is a DQ. Battlefield removal (BFR) is allowed but does not automatically equal a win, eg Goku teleporting Batman to Africa is not a win. Goku throwing Batman into the sun IS a win.

Voting closes, I dunno, I guess Thursday.

Ya I gotta say Thor as well but I do have one question. What exactly is Agent Smith? Is he basically electric since he is data or is he an actual entity that lives with in the Matrix?

I don't really want to answer in case I bias the voting. His powers are clearly based on being part of the matrix, the same way that Dr Strange has powers based on being magic, Wolverine has powers based on having a mutant gene and Superman has powers based on the ability to absorb sunlight. However, in this event he retains those powers outside of the Matrix.

So to use Superman as an example, destroying the sun would not cancel his powers but drawing the solar radiation out of his body WOULD cancel his powers. So if you're wondering about an attack on the matrix mainframe, I would say it is not a valid way to stop Smith. But that's open to you guys to discuss.

I haven't voted yet but I was curious as to what exactly he is? Is he some type of energy form or what?

Well, in the Matrix he's a computer program. In this tournament, we just have to consider some kind of life form with the same strengths and weaknesses he displayed in the Matrix.

Eg, He has the strength to punch through concrete, he has the speed to dodge bullets. He still lives in a world based on rules (as stated): Morpheus was able to dodge some of his strikes and Agents are susceptible to a gunshot to the head at close range.

He is neos opoisite, he is like a virus. He's super poweful. I would say he can't assimilate people out of the matrix. But he'd retain his powers

When morpheus hung with Smith he was still plugged in...he became exponentially stronger after unplugging and after taking over the Oracle. I would say Smith is as strong as Thor, he also can fly, he also see the future which will help him.

Thor wins this easily.

There is one Smith who offers anything against Thor, superman Shazam or Hitchcock. That's the one that absorbed the oracle. He's a superman-lite knock off and basically on par with Neo strength speed and durability wise. (Which neo was able to be injured.) His precog ability shouldnt be applicable unless he's in the matrix. Even then, his foresight was limited to near immediate events which he did not always have fast enough reaction time to stop. ie he gets punched in the face.

Thor disposes of Oracle Smith with a hard hammer and divine lightning.

So Thor can beat Mags....but Shazam cant? Fuck this game!
I'm a big Shazam fan but animated movie Shazam never did too much. He was a kid who stole stuff and tried to mack on Wonder Woman (LOL).
These clips are quite cool though.

I didn't see any of that in the movie. Maybe they could add it if they ever make a sequel.

That was all in the movie. He unplugged in the second and started taking over, copying himself. The Oracle even says he is the opposite of neo trying to balance the equation.

He gets the Oracle abilities he tells neo how he sees his victory even knows what him and neo say to each other

Second? You sir seem to be mistaken. There was no second (or third) Matrix movie

Shazam lost to Magneto because he was in the worst arena possible against Magneto. Thor had a much better chance because of where they fought.

Thor has never shown the speed to move fast enough to hit Agent Smith in the movies.

Agent Smith moves so fast he is a blur, and hits so hard that the person hit creates a crater when they hit the ground. Thor is fucked here, he'll be swinging his little hammer at air, while Agent Smith busts him up with every martial art known to robotkind.

I can't bring myself to voting for a fake computer program beating a REAL superhero.

Thor will delete agent Smith or put him into the recycle bin, and Mjolnir will hammer the bin flatter than Nancy Reagan's driver's side.

He certainly does show the speed to hit a fast moving target. He blocks multiple lazers incoming shots with the hammer, repeated destoryer blasts and malekiths aether attack. He even slides under that one.

Not to mention Mjolnir travels at tremendous speeds. It pulls Thor for attacks even faster that Smith is shown flying to attack Neo.

Thor also shows superhuman spacial awareness in combat. He is able to anticipate several incoming attackers from angles in which he is not even looking.

On top of this he has 1000s of years of actual combat experience. He uses far more than MoS or Hitchcock haymakers. He uses a variety of effective strikes and techniques. Enough to take out several trained shield agents even while in human form. Smith didn't learn martial arts like Neo, Smith was able to execute his attacks because he was coded to a faster operating program in the matrix. Same goes for when he gains the oracles coding.

In Jotunhiem he no longer has the precog ability because it is not in the matrix. Even with the ability he was still able to be hit. And Thor will fuckin hit him. With fists, lightning and mjolnir.

The big crater that Oracle Smith drives Neo into from the sky barely fills a road intersection. He doesn't even destroy the buildings.

That was Thor being cocky against living beings. In a fight without morals against a fuckin computer? Bruh.

Imagine a super storm large as a city. A tornado typhoon and lightning hitting everywhere. In the eye of that storm is an angry god controlling the whole thing and he has a fuckin hammer.

The machine gets smashed.

Can we also discuss what happens to electronics, both hardware and software, when they are hit with say lightning or an emp?

Well done sir.

Agent Smith is a program in a computer in a world of dark clouds and thunder.

And Thor is the God of that. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

We've seen Agent Smith at his angriest. At the peak of his will to win. His strongest punches, his best attacks, the full extent of his arsenal, a callous disregard for any and everything around him.

It was very average. Below average for a superman power set knock off.

The super punches sent shock waves to move rain or break a couple window but the buildings were intact.

The mega attack of using super speed to crash Neo to earth left a tiny pothole.

The closest we've seen Thor to being callous about the harm he causes was in Jotunheim. He completely obliterated the landscape in one strike. He flies through a ice giant beast faster than the force could knock the beast back. He went clean through its head. Even then he was pretty much just having fun.

Those of you voting for agent Smith must have no idea of the type of damage Thor can cause when he is bloodlusted and without morals holding him back.

We've seen Oracle Smiths work. It's average as fuck.

Thor will lay waste to continents.

In age of Ultron Thor tanked an entire town exploding around him and crashing down on him from high altitude.

Compare that to the force in which Agent Smith crashed Neo into the earth. It left a fuckin pothole.

Thor is too hard. Harder than a computer program who can no longer manipulate the world around him to prevent damage from effecting him.

Thor.

And it's not even close.

Thor lifted a city. Fights multiple opponents in both powered and human form. Was born for the fight and probably has moves that Smith simply hasn't programmed himself for.
