Magneto - @GrandDragonUK vs Thor - @MarkR

Arena: A house

Combatants have their powers in their ideal settings (eg Superman has been solar charged, Neo is in the Matrix, Namor is fully hydrated etc).

Win is by KO/death. Fleeing the battle is a DQ. Battlefield removal (BFR) is allowed but does not automatically equal a win, eg Goku teleporting Batman to Africa is not a win. Goku throwing Batman into the sun IS a win.

Voting closes Monday.

Is Magneto's metal-manipulation power strong enough to lift, and control, Mjolnir?

I doubt it, which is why I voted for Thor.

Okay to be honest even I am unsure if Magneto can win this one and he's my character so let's look at some positives.

Magneto maybe the only character left able to beat Agent Smith.

Magneto is in a house, let's imagine it's massive with lots of rubber and metal.

Magneto can control Thor's hammer

Other than that I got nothing.

So if you want Agent Smith to win vote Thor lol

I think Magneto could at least deflect Mjolnir. I don't think he could lift it but he could stay safe from it and stay out of Thor's way. His biggest problem would be the lightning IMHO.

Thor is just too solid and too brolic.

It's too much pressure. After putting up a good fight, Magneto eventually takes damage and falls.

Magneto can harness magnetism, the planet's fucking force.
He'll use some of that to control Thor's hammer and skullfuck Thor.
Plus magneto's got a bigger wang.

I've seen those panels where Magneto takes Thor. I'm not sure I'm convinced that it how it would go. If i understand Thor mythology correctly, is magic that makes Mjolnir do all it does, including breaking known physics to do what Thor wills.

If that's the case, by Magneto controlling Mjolnir isn't that saying his power overrules Odins magic? Just curious
