Last few weeks have been crazy. Was in Nashville for a week visiting my ailing stepdad. Came back and had to save my job as some administrative changes meant the program I run may have been kicked out of our site. Massaged that fiasco then had to help an employee who needed to resign in a hurry to pursue a job in Georgia.
Following this my girlfriend left the state to attend Harvard for grad school which sucks in more ways than I can count, but it's Harvard so I can't complain much. Now to conclude the whirlwind my kids are up staying with me for 2 weeks and while it's been a blast, being 6 and 5, it's a lot to contain their energy in my tiny jr. 1 bedroom Bronx apartment in the hood.
I'm basically venting and hoping for interesting and amusing posts in September for when my kids head back to their mom's house and the dust from everything settles because I will need the diversion.
