I have an employee(female) who is very good looking. Previously dated a former employee until it didn't work. I replaced said male employee with a new one. I get a text from female that she wanted to talk. Cryptic text. She didn't tell me until a couple weeks later was the problem was until I dragged it out of her. She was bitching about new employee not doing his job and she was doing all the work. Security cameras say different. This girl is in a rut. Doesn't make enough to get her own apartment but leased a brand new truck. Dad kicked her out of the house. I come into the office one day and see her truck wasn't there. Gave me some bs story about racking up miles on said truck which didn't make sense as she just got it. Come to find out she has been sleeping at male employee's house and drove together to work.

She of course called him every name in the book. Saying he's an asshole and he's about quit the job and apparently said he was going to quit on me any minute. We get talking on the phone and she is hysterical, crying and the whole bit. However she wanted to talk in person. Ok whatever. She also says that she has some personal questions she wanted to ask me. Very odd for her. We joke around via text every now and then(she sent me the hawk tuah video back when it happened and acted like she wasn't embarrassed about accidently sending it to me). I'm 15 years older than her. I have a nice house. There is no logical reason why she would be interesting other than the obviously. Looking on security camera's today, male employee walks in with a box in a bag. He give her the bag and it's brand new boots for her.

I am wrong to be playing defense here? I feel like it would be a horrible idea to be near this girl without another person around but it seems to me I'm being played. I'm a fairly good looking guy and never had any problems in that department I have no desire to fire said male employee because I can't confirm any of what she's says. She said male employee was going to quit on me any day now. He won a settlement against a major corporation a couple years back after one of their trucks crushed him in his car. So there is some truth to the fact he doesn't need at job, however I can't figure the rest out. I feel game is being played but I can't figure out the "why" when apparently she has a place to stay with a guy that has money. I'm too curious to let this go.

I should mention this is strange timing. I had a stroke about a month a half a go. Not back to a 100% but the only thing it affected was my speech. No brain damage or anything like that would make me see things differently than any other day. Both employee's have been working for me for a year.

Record everything, never be alone with her.

Shes going to do what has worked for her in the past, branch swing and play men against each other and themselves. Start documenting everything to work towards dismissal.
You don't want her around.

Have another employee there with you when you talk to her. Don't be alone with her.

1st, sorry to hear you are going through the health issues again Dave.

2nd, like everyone else said stay the fuck away. Michigan is a one party consent state, there are voice recording apps, If no one else is around I would set my phone to record if she wants to talk to you. She is toxic and she wants to fuck you and not in a good way. I would discontinue any texting unless it is straight business related.

1) Glad you are doing better.

2) Don't meet with her alone.

3) Get rid of her.
