UFC issues statement...

http://mmajunkie.com/2015/02/ufc-iss...medium=twitter

“The UFC has been notified by the Nevada State Athletic Commission that UFC welterweight Hector Lombard has tested positive for a banned substance following his fight at ‘UFC 182: Jones vs. Cormier’ on Jan. 3, 2015 in Las Vegas,” the UFC’s statement reads. “The UFC has a strict, consistent policy against the use of any illegal and/or performance enhancing drugs, stimulants or masking agents by our athletes. As a result of his positive test, Lombard has been informed that he has violated the UFC Fighter Conduct Policy and Promotional Agreement with Zuffa, LLC. The UFC will cooperate with the commission on the matter and fully supports Lombard’s right to a due process hearing before the commission.”

@JeremyBotter 21 seconds ago I filed two open records requests with the NAC one month ago. They never responded at all. Which is against the law.

it seems that both the nsac and ufc choose to make the wrong choice with almost every decision they make. i dont no whether to call it corruption or incompetence.

Anyone follow Brett Okamoto on twitter?

He just tweeted "NSAC received failed drug test on Jan. 13 UFC announced Lombard/MacDonald on Jan 17. Lombard says he never got results ever (???)"

Would it be a Hipaa violation to not tell him first?
not sure. someone needs to find all of this out, and tweet or message the idiots in charge. it'd be even better if someone would have it when they interview those pricks.

It is hard to picture a more incompetent athletic commission than the NAC.

They are pathetic, but the CSAC when Armando Garcia was the Ex. Dir. might have given them a run for their money :banghead:
