I need to get a gateway, or whatever you call it - I need to be able to take credit card payments in a business. Who do you guys recommend, or any thoughts on how it works, how to find the best one, etc.? I'm really a newb to this, not even sure what to look for. This would be taking some credit cards payments over the phone, probably some online as well.

Thanks!!!

Just let the buyer know that you will take their card number over the phone and confirm once you find a suitable platform to operate on that satisfies your security team’s level of acceptability

My daughter is the expert on this, let me get back to you on this that she's working on her business licenses.
She's learned a ton about uniform commercial code and other codes pertinent to licenses and credit.

I've used Quickbooks services with their portable card reader synced to a tablet and it was a nightmare. I'd suggest reaching out to your bank and opening a merchant account directly with them. They'll charge you monthly for the account and a percentage of each transaction.

She said could just chat GPT at if you're just asking what physical credit card scanner to use
She said just ask about the top 5 or something.
