It's both. Instead of coming up with solid story arcs, they go "or..... we could surprise kill this character!" or they go "Wow, great episode. Oh, it's only 45 minutes, needs to be 60. Okay, so we'll take that scene where they pick up dry cleaning, and then the other guy will show up there, and start asking questions. I mean nothing relevant to the story will happen, but it will be suspenseful because the audience won't know it's filler until the scene is over, and it will add our extra 15 minutes.

Season 1 episode 1 where the Mexican cartel guy was going to shoot him and was like "I believe him yo. I don't know why but I do." I was like "Okay, so it's one of those shows.

I don't remember earlier seasons but the do show buttcheeks. I think the actors nudity clause kicks in later seasons because it has less nudity.

the show gets better and better
i covered the finale season. it was a solid ending to a great show (they stopped at book 6 of a 9 book series)
they are also pursuing options to adapt the final three books. fingers crossed. but book 6 and season 6 was a logical stopping point for the show even if it hever gets renewed
