General New GTA VI Trailer

I'm not into adult type games, I stick with Nintendo, but it always looks to me like these big games are just interactive movies where you spend most of the time just watching cut scenes. I'm guessing that isn't true, but I couldn't tell if they showed any gameplay in that video.
GTA5 was all about online. Campaign was short and dead simple.
What this trailer is showing is a massive leap forward graphically for gaming. I want to believe. Its important to remember these trailers are often either not rendered in-game or if they are, are being run on impossibly powerful hardware that no one really has in the real world. Most people are running the 50/60 series graphics cards because they can afford them. Im sure its going to look great, not this good though.
Its all going to come down to its online mode. How much is there to really do, how engaging are the gameplay loops, how well does it challenge and then reward you for your gameplay. I dont see them fucking this up. One thing though is control-wise, GTA5 plays like absolute dogshit compared to every single game you can play today. I think they need to solve that muddy delayed feel that these games have, it needs to be crisp and responsive with easy to navigate menus.
It will probably be the game to beat for an entire generation of gamers. Funny, I now see what our parents generation saw in them in that I really do worry what games like this do to us culturally.
I bought the PS4 for GTA. I bought other games, didnt enjoy them as much. Doom was cool for awhile. Castle Wolfenstein, too but I think those were PS3 remakes.
I'll probably buy a PS5 just for this, again.
I waited till they announced the ps5 so I can wait again(ps6) lol. I'm not a latest graphics kind of guy anyway
I need it and the games to drop dramatically. I dont like games enough to invest like you guys. Gimme a shooter or a simple FPS any day. I'll probably end up with maybe a handful of games and only finish half.

Well, the game isn't coming out for another year, so you can expect another year or two after that for the next gen consoles to be announced / released.
As was said, Xbox just jacked up the price on their consoles - which is crazytown for a console not only this far into its lifespan (consoles are supposed to go DOWN as they get older...not up lmao), as well as one that's not sold any better than the Xbox has (not to mention the fact that they keep pushing this idea that "anything can be an Xbox" to pimp GamePass).
Switch 2 hasn't even come out yet, and it's already normalizing $80 games.
I gotta think GTA will be available on PC as well, so if you had a decent laptop, you'd probably be just as good to get it that way when it comes out.
GTAV? Hell, how about Final Fantasy 7?
Just how many times now has that damn game been remade, remastered, re-this, re-that, re-whatevered. There's like at least 3-4 different versions of the same game.
