I've been reading the Energon universe titles by Skybound. Void Rivals is probably the weakest of the titles but okay. G.I. Joe is enjoyable and Transformers is the best of the bunch.
The problem with G.I. Joe and Transformers is that they are telling the story at warp speed. They should have slowed it down a little and developed the "history" and characters a little better. Transformers kill characters and a extremely fast pace. I believe they rely on our attachments from previous formats (cartoon or Marvel comics). Had this been a new property (no previous stories) I don't the deaths would matter due to no connection to the characters. Still enjoying the series.
