After a brief slump and major criticisms from UFC president Dana White and his own coaches, Francis N‘Gannou has been able get himself back on the winning track. On Sunday night, “The Predator” was able to notch the biggest win of his career by knocking out Cain Velasquez in just 26 seconds of action.

N’Gannou’s struggles in the past were against elite wrestlers, as seen in his title fight against Stipe Miocic last year. But after this most recent accomplishment, he also feels more assured about what he can bring to the table in terms of wrestling and grappling.

“Just a reminder, Cain is a wrestler, Curtis Blaydes is a wrestler,” N’Gannou said during his…

In a perfect world, DC would fight Francis next (and demolish him), and Stipe would fight Volkov or Reem (preferably Volkov). DC and Stipe them rematch, while Jones fights (and wins) twice at LHW...setting up a Jones/DC trilogy.

You do know this is the UFC right? We have more chance of Francis fighting Conor than any of that happening

Beating Cain like 5 years ago might have gotten him a shot. Now beating Cain is like beating Struve

Velasquez alone, no. KOing Blaydes and Velasquez in a minute combined, yes.

Stipe got KOd clean in his last fight and has just been sitting out. You can't reward it.

If Lesnar isn't fighting next, Francis is the guy.

Dennis bermudez was on a 7 fight tear iirc
That win was his 4th straight en route to a 7 fight streak, but he was 3-3 in the six fights before that.

Struve was also on a 3 fight win streak before the Miocic fight, and was 5-1 in his last 6 fights (lost the Roy Nelson fight right before that though).

Lesnar already failed his test. He has a free pass now, right?
good point...what did he fail for?
better to fail for a roid than an estrogen blocker

this could get interesting, I bet a few guys are using what they previously failed for and waiting to test the new system/ruling

I don't think Stipe wants that Nngannou rematch, to be honest.

Everyone is getting slept left and right. It's crazy.
