On October 29 2021, it will officially be a decade since Nick Diaz won a fight.

Equally incredibly, is that date will also mark a decade since Nick Diaz had a GOOD fight. He not only lost his last 3 fights, but they absolutely sucked too. Condit, GSP, Anderson. All terrible.

He's not only been living off reputation for a decade, but it's a completely unearned reputation. The guy is a .500 fighter in the UFC who had a lot of shit fights.

Yet Dana is still getting asked about him in press conferences. Ranked fighters are still calling him out.

That's why everyone should mark that date on their calendars and celebrate Nick's incredible achievement.

I was just thinking about how he had his sentence reduced from 4 years to 18 months after testing positive for marijuana following the Anderson Silva fight. So glad he went through all that trouble lol.

Have his fans started talking about his return yet this year?

nick should come back and fight jorge or wonderboy. knowing dana he will sign him to a 3 fight contract and give him woodly, usman and colby . the only way nick should ever step in to the ring again is VS another stand up fighter of his era and age. i kinda doubt he ever comes back though and he is clearly past his prime . taking 5 years off to get drunk and do coke probably wasnt the best strategy if he was planning to fight again

Damn, time flies. I actually had to look up his age. I would've guessed he was still early 30's. Nope, he's 37. I wanted to come in here and say that he could come off his couch and hold his own against the top 10 or even top 5. I can't do it. You are right, the only way he should fight again is if it's someone else his age who hasn't been active. Maybe he will get in EBI or something, but I think the only way he gets in a fight is if it happens in the bar/street.
