While the UFC does its latest round of website cleanup, it looks like two new fighters are on the outside of the promotion looking in.

Ususally when fighters get cut it's young guys with two or three bouts inside the UFC who didn't find success right out of the gate. So this latest round of roster trimming has been a bit of a surprise as it's come almost entirely from the longtime veteran ranks of the UFC.

We've already reported on Rafael Cavalcante, Daniel Sarafian, and Jared Rosholt. Edgar Garcia posted news of his UFC release on the Underground and Jonavin Webb confirmed his release not long ago on Twitter. So the new info getting passed along here is that it looks like KJ Noons, Joe Riggs, and Justin Salas got the boot as well. All three men showed up on the latest roster…

Kj noons to bellator! Idk about riggs
Shoot, Riggs is getting up there in age! On the one leg, Riggs is a UFC name that Bellator can promote, but on the other his face makes him look about 10 years older than his real, actual age (and always has), so I'm not sure whether Coker would pull the trigger and sign him. And it's not like Riggs' MMA game is firing on all cylinders at the moment, he's lost 3 of his last 4 shootouts, so I would say there's a decent shot - and excuse me if I may be jumping the gun - that he ends up in Japan where the competition is easier. Or just retires.

Sucks to hear about Noons but not surprised. I would have loved to have seen Noons vs Gomi, that would have been crazy

I have always liked Riggs. Not sure why. Maybe because he cut from 300 to his chiseled frame and I found that inspiring since I'm a fatty. I know he's not a great person irl, but I have liked watching him fight.

Riggs is 33 has a record of 41-17 thats a lot of mileage on a man. Joe Riggs seems to be falling apart, in the Ben Suanders fight he got a neck stinger, in the Ron Stallings fight he took an uptick that didn't seem to hard but couldn't go on and won by DQ, and his last fight against Camozzi , no offense to Chris, but Camozzi look like a world beater on Riggs. I think Riggs best days are behind him, I don't think his body can handle the rigors of training and then the punishment of fighting. If he does fight again my guess would be WSoF.

I didn't even known Riggs was still on the active roster. KJ is old pals with Coker so if he wants to still fighting he can.

Where does KJ Noons train? Like BJ, I always felt that he would benefit from joining a team like AKA or Jacksons, but it always seemed like he was down in San Diego doing his own thing, but I could be wrong.
