Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman is one of the most dangerous Mexican drug bosses, he is the head of the "Sinaloa Cartel" which accumulated more than $1 billion from heroin, cocaine and marijuana. This man has escaped jail through a tunnel.

This is not the first time the "Sinaloa Cartel" head escape using tunnels as he has already escaped the Mexican authorities when he was cornered in 2014. Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman used a complex system of tunnels which connected six different houses to flee, this is not everything as this dangerous man apparently was using tunnels underneath the US and Mexico borders for drugs transportation, which means that tunnels are now Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman trademark.

As for the tunnel he used to escape, the Los Angeles Times says that the tunnel was ventilated and equiped with lighting. Furthermore, there were oxygen tanks, scaffolding and even a motorcycle contraption to transport the dirt and eventually "El Chapo" to the outlet. The tunnel is 5.6 feet high, about 30 inches wide and a mile-long.

In order to escape this way there must have been a lot of corruption involved, that's why dozen employees of the prison "El Chapo" escaped have been questioned because this man have a lot of people in each level of the authority.

What is sure is "El Chapo" won't change his style of escaping from jail, so next time the authorities put him in prison they should make sure there are no tunnels underneath his feet.

not to sound too donald trumpy here but i think the prison workers and people in power let him escape and this tunnel story seems like a wash. lots of people were in on it.

sucks because they were trying to extradite him into the states so this wouldn't happen. The guy has way too much power in Mexico to be held there. It was only a matter of time.

The fbi/border patrol, etc, etc - our "protectors" are the engineers and construction workers that built this and helped him escape

LMAO at the war on drugs. Billions of dollars spent by a Govt that isn't serious about stopping it, and has aided in bringing it into the country. Legalize and tax the shit and lets be done with this charade already.

Life on the run will make a drug lord thirsty.

Escaped Mexican kingpin Joaquin Guzman enjoyed a beer and relaxed in the cockpit of a plane in photos purportedly leaked by El Chapo’s son following the crime boss’ daring prison break.

The taunting pics, posted on Spanish-language site El Blog del Narco, come just two days after Guzman’s Saturday night escape from his cell in a maximum security Mexican prison.

The 58-year-old Sinaloa cartel chief fled through a mile-long tunnel dug over the course of a year, authorities said.

Escaped drug lord Joaquin Guzman (r) chats with a pilot after his prison escape, according to the site El Blog del Narco, which claims the image came from Guzman’s son.

The photos, which haven’t been verified, would be the first of the mastermind since his escape.

He appeared at ease, casually gripping a bottled brew next to a couple of women in one image and chatting with a pilot in the other.

Federal drug agents refused to comment on the pictures, but at least one law enforcement expert suspects the images could be part of a hoax.

“I don't think (his son) would leak those photos because that could be used to try and apprehend Chapo, and that would be circumventing his planned escape,” former Drug Enforcement Agent Mike Vigil told the San Antonio Express-News.
