Governor Hochul Announces Additional Measures to Prevent Spread of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza in Poultry
Governor Hochul announced that the Department of Agriculture and Markets (AGM) has issued a new Notice and Order for live bird markets that have not had a detection of HPAI in New York City and Westchester, Suffolk, and Nassau counties.

To prevent the spread of an avian flu that's not transmissible to humans supposedly, Without any infection present or suspected, the governor is shutting down all bird farms Effective immediately with a 3 day sell down, Followed by a 5 day cleansing period and then await state authorities approval to re-supply & resume operations.
This is catastrophic.
