He did get kind of lucky that hand wasn't able to grab a weapon off his belt though.
That was my first thought too, but the free hand was on his tazer side, and he could have controlled it if necessary instead of radioing in more information. I know who this officer is, and I am confident he was aware of what was going on and his ability to neutralize that arm if ne started grabbing at his utility belt.

That's my buddy Ruben Alvarez.... Phenomenal competitor, now retired, and serving the community like his mom and dad did.... Glad to see he's safe

I was just watching this video, two UK police officers getting ragdolled by one man who has one hand trapped in handcuffs... A simple takedown would have stopped the guy from spazzing out.

All law enforcement officers should be made to train in some sort of grappling as part of their training.

I'm glad it turned out the way it did, but that officer put himself in some very vulnerable positions during that exchange.
