Kirby's dad fell last NYE. Due to the terrorist and the fallout his scheduled surgery for last Saturday was postponed until Thursday. He passed away earlier today.

Apparently he fell, got surgery and then passed away from complications. The articles I found didn't make any mention of surgery delays.

I cannot imagine what Kirby is going through right now with all of the bs he has to deal then grieving his father's passing.
It would be the most SEC thing of all time to miss your father's funeral because football though.
