New season starts September 19th. We can discuss anything Doctor Who related. Old, new, 14' scarves, the best companion (Rose), fish fingers and custard... doesn't matter.
I didn't think anyone replied to this thread. Must have missed the notifications.
Great couple of episodes so far. I think the new Doctor is settling in well. I love the character of Missy, although some times her Scottish is a bit thick, so I had to turn on subtitles lol.
I like how Clara's character was back in the Dalek too. And the boy Davros was a shock.
Honestly, I think if I were coming into this show cold, I probably wouldn't like it either. But I watched it as a child with my father, so when the series was brought back in 2005, it brought nostalgia with it.

I get what your saying. I have a Australian friend who thinks its the greatest show on earth. Hes 40 years old and doesnt miss an episode. When he comes over i hear him and my son talk about the good DR non stop. I find it funny. They both talked me into trying more than once. I just dont get it. Also the new dr creeps me out. It just seems like a young character shod be playing the doc.

We have that in common. My son loves it too. I've heard a few people say that they prefer a younger Doctor, who are usually Matt Smith or David Tennant fans. That is one of the great things about this show. Everyone was exposed to it at different times over the last 50 years, so there is a Doctor for everyone and the show means different things to different people.
For me, the older, grouchier character is a lot closer to my first impression of a crazy Doctor when I was 8 years old. The show was slightly scary for me then. Now it's just fun.
