That tiny little country in the middle east named Yemen, is just as big as Kentucky, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. Combined.
It's bigger than California by 40,000 sq. miles, or 100,000 sq. Km.

To put it another way, it's bigger than New Zealand and Victoria Australia combined, or, it's bigger than the UK, twice.

The human brain and a cantaloupe weigh approximately the same.
So the next time you pick up a cantaloupe, you have the weight of one entire human lifespan in your hands.

The word ‘knife’ in Portuguese is ‘faca’, which is almost identical in pronunciation to the English word “fucker”.

"You'd better thank your lucky stars"

Etymology/origin

"The stars were said by the old astrologers to have an almost omnipotent influence on the lives and destinies of man and to this belief is due a number of phrases as: Bless my stars ; You may thank your lucky stars ; star-crossed (not favoured by the stars, unfortunate) ; to be born under an unlucky star"

There, there....

The consolation of that "there's always next year" is the key to "There, there" as a comforting verbal gesture. Its role is to say "Look there, there's something good amid the bad." In fact the comforter often goes on to name the supposedly consoling thing, as in "There, there, she wasn't your type anyway" or "There, there, it's only money."
