This is the view of an outsider who wasn't raised in a gun culture, so take it as you will, but I'm not sure why DIY gun kits should be regulated in a different way to guns?

If i build a kit car, it has to be registered and taxed like any other.

Horsey police did that here a couple years ago. Well, they said they're illegal and that they'll arrest people for having them. Police states are cool, right?

A DIY kit is largely a non-descript piece of metal at the beginning of the process.

It's like banning wood cylinders because they could be made into bats.

I am unfamiliar with them, do you need machining tools to actually make the gun? if so, I can see OP's point.

You're buying what is essentially a hunk of metal and then have to machine it to its final form.

That's about it. You get a junk.of metal that vaguely resembles a gun part. The rest is up to you.

Why did you specify they were BLACK rifles huh?

Is it the blackness that makes them scary???

Are you some sort of racialist??????

(j/k, just in case anyone takes that seriously)
