I am unfamiliar with them, do you need machining tools to actually make the gun? if so, I can see OP's point.
You're buying what is essentially a hunk of metal and then have to machine it to its final form.
That's about it. You get a junk.of metal that vaguely resembles a gun part. The rest is up to you.
