Fascinating news coming out of Singapore today with the announcement that One Championship is entering into the competitive world of Kickboxing with their new ‘One Super Series.’
They have announced a professional kickboxing league will launch in Manila in conjunction with its Heroes of Honor card on the 20th of April. Kickboxing superstar Giorgio Petrosyan (85-2-0) will headline the inaugural show, where he will face off against Thailand’s Jo Nattawut (60-11-0) under international kickboxing rules. (...)

This is really weird and surprising. Looks like they'll do both K-1 rules in a ring and muay thai rules in a cage with mma gloves. They recently did the latter with the great Sam-A coming back from retirement to style on a poor italian guy but it looked like it was a one-off. This is big news in the muay thai/kickboxing world because ONE Championship owner is also the owner of Evolve MMA Gym which has some of the best muay thai fighters of the last decade as coaches and many of them are signed to this new promotion (Nong-O, Petchboonchu, Sagetdao).
