Watched Longlegs last night. It tried really hard to be Silence of the Lambs but it wasn't even close. It's not a terrible movie, but it just feels like it's just missing something. Thought the actors were good. There was a creepy vibe, but the script is where it fell short. I was expecting something really clever in the end, but the payoff wasn't there. I was left thinking that's it? Disappointing. 6/10 and that probably being generous.

Finally got around to watching Critters 2 last night. Great late 80s scifi creature feature. More gore and boobs than the original so it gets a lot of points for that. Solid sequel that I’ll totally watch again.

This was one of about ten rental VHS tapes they had at a grocery store in the middle of nowhere Pennsylvania where my grandparents lived. I got to watch this, commando and Legend every summer for about ten years. The pacing is great, just goofy action and horror the whole way through. The critter ball skeleton is still burnt into my psyche from watching it at as a 10 year old along with the Hungry Heiffer theme song 😂

Ravenous-

In a remote military outpost in the 19th century, Captain John Boyd and his regiment embark on a rescue mission which takes a dark turn when they are ambushed.

Frailty -

a strong, well-conceived horror tale about a devout, but demented man in Thurman, Texas

I'm having trouble posting pics from google images, rn. I always recommend these two movies and try not to go overboard on the details as the less you know the better. I recommend going in blind, no trailer.

My favorite thread from the OG and I had to recreate it here.

I rewatched Tremors last night and it might get better every time I watch it. It’s the perfect reimagining of a 1950s creature feature but with the early 1990s charm. Anything else fall into a similar category?
OP, which article did you get your sn from?

Checking out The Demon Disorder before football. In a Violent Nature was about as divisive as Arcadian on the OG thread and Oddity is great. If you can get AMC+ for $6 for the month, it’s worth it for just the “new releases”

Anyone remember the movie that oger wrote the screenplay for? Was supposed to be awesome but never got a chance to watch it.
