Sci/Tech Opinions wanted on two Computer Desks

long shot that anyone has one of these, but any opinions on these two would be appreciated in case im not brainstorming any other concern besides the one below (key feature is ability to adjust them between sitting and standing desks)

the second one is much cheaper, but i am struggling to find out if its free-standing. i rent an apartment, so i dont want something that i need to drill into the floor

You'd consider spending almost $2000 on a monitor? Is that US pricing?

The one on the left includes the monitor mount. The one on the right is just an adjustable platform.

Big price difference but if you're going to want something that ultimately is cleaner in presentation or you're going to want to mount the monitor as the one on the right shows then you're going to have to spend more money with it making the price difference a bit more negligible unless you already have something.

If the prices were the same and the Atdec included the monitor mount as that last photo shows then I'd go that way.

As it stands, I'd probably go left just because it's a complete solution even though it is more expensive.

Ya I know but I quoted the Canadian who thinks he's American because that how Ontario rolls.

Either way I can't imagine spending 2g on a monitor. I just bought a pair of 21" monitors for $150 for work. Not sure what I'd get that I could justify spending 10X the amount.

On the first one, does the table move up and not restrict movement?
Also, on the second one I'm assuming that the keyboard table goes underneath and the table also moves up to allow significant room underneath?

Either way I can't imagine spending 2g on a monitor. I just bought a pair of 21" monitors for $150 for work. Not sure what I'd get that I could justify spending 10X the amount.

That other monitor is probably for gaming or movie watching. I'd never get that lol. Pretty cool tho

Was thinking the same thing. The first one looks too low to the ground while the second one looks too bulky.

I just Doble checked. Yeah in both scenarios the keyboard desk rises to fit hands for a standing position

From what I could tell...

On the first one the platform for the keyboard and mouse along with the monitors all slide up and down on the rear rail to adjust to the height that you require.

The second the keyboard table has to remain in front as far as I can tell because the height adjustment is just based on the beam moving from parallel to the base to the angled/upright view that you see in the photo. So that one is going to sit higher at it's natural resting "low" than the first would have to.



Hey, K @Kaladin Stormblessed ... I didn't read enough into them as I was just looking at aesthetics initially but do you know what mechanism these use for the height adjustment assistance?
Also, I'm pretty sure that these just sit on a current desk or table. They're not desk replacements, they just create flexibility to sit or stand so you shouldn't have to worry about hard mounting either to a floor. I'm pretty sure of that anyway.

Oh that's a huge catch. I actually expected them to be desk mounts but for some reason I was viewing these as desk replacements. Gonna youtube them to verify. Thanks!

This probably won't help but if you wanted just the Dual Arm Full Motion Monitor Mount, I just saw one come up on one of my auctions

Says regular price is $219 and it's currently at $101

dual monitors tend to me hard on your neck and eyes.

get a single big monitor, or get a 3-head with narrow bezels.

If you get a dual head, try to set it up so that you have to turn your body/chair to work on the second monitor.
