Alistair Overeem sees gold in his future.

After knocking out Andrei Arlovski in the main event of UFC Fight Night 87 Sunday in Rotterdam, the kickboxing specialist has won four straight inside the UFC Octagon. His back-to-back knockouts of former heavyweight champion Junior dos Santos and Arlovski create a strong case for a title shot.

While the heavyweight strap is put on the line May 14 at UFC 198 when championFabricio Werdum faces Stipe Miocic, Overeem feels it's only a matter of time before he feels the weight of that belt around his own waist.

"Well, I think I do have the best cause for a title win," Overeem said during the UFC Fight Night 87 post-fight press conference. "I don't know about a title shot -- a title win."

If he ends up facing Werdum, it will give Werdum a chance to redeem his loss against Overeem. As soon as fighters like Fedor and Cain entered Werdum's guard, he quickly submitted them. Overeem may possibly pull it off again if he avoids Werdum's guard like he did last time, unless Werdum improved enough to contest the stand up.
