UFC strawweight star Paige VanZant has her next bout. She will face Alex Chambers at UFC 191 on Sept. 5 in Las Vegas.
MMASucka.com first reported the bout earlier this week. VanZant later confirmed the 115-pound matchup on social media.

According to a recent report on FOX Sports 1’s “UFC Tonight,” VanZant had hoped to land a spot on the Labor Day weekend. She got her wish, because her third octagon appearance will indeed go down at UFC 191.
VanZant (5-1 MMA, 2-0 UFC) has stormed the UFC scene to grab significant notoriety in just two fights. The 21-year-old, who is among the youngest active fighters on the roster, scored a third-round TKO of Kailin Curran in her promotional debut at UFC Fight Night 57 in November.
“12 Gauge” followed the “Fight of the Night” performance against Curran with a dominant victory over veteran Felice Herrig at UFC on FOX 15 in April.
VanZant’s popularity has ballooned in her short UFC career and has garnered her such opportunities as being in the select group of fighters that received an individual Reebok sponsorship.
Chambers (5-2 MMA, 1-1 UFC) will enter arguably the most significant victory of her career on the high of an impressive comeback win over Curran at UFC Fight Night 65 in May. “Astro Girl” convincingly lost the first two rounds of the fight before she rallied to secure a submission with less than two minutes left in the bout.
UFC 191 takes place at Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Garden Arena. The main card will air on pay-per-view following prelims on FOX Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass.
