Emil Weber Meek was looking forward to a big UFC debut in Hamburg, but it won't be happening. In part because of USADA, and if he's to be believed, in part because of his own caution.

Is it caution, disclosure, or something else altogether? Whatever it is, Emil Weber Meek has certainly found a strange way to get his UFC debut cancelled. "Valhalla" as he's also known, was set to fight Jessin Ayari at UFC Hamburg on September 3rd. It was also going to be Weber's first bout since stopping the notorious leg-lock specialist Rousimar Palhares at Venator FC 3, back in May. However, the bout has been called off.

A UFC statement on the cancellation says that Meek "voluntarily disclosed medical treatment he received prior to signing with the UFC that is potentially out of compliance with the…

Palhares should get the DQ and Meek's purse. Disgraceful that roid users still take wins away from clean athletes.

Reading the article makes sense.
He had his mandatory 4-month pre-fight USADA testing waved as he was a recently signed fighter.
He voluntarily disclosed his medications to USADA just to make sure they were aware and could tell him if they are prohibited (since he wasn't subject to the testing in past promotions and not necessarily up to date on it), and they revoked his exception to the 4-month testing period, presumably because one of the treatments/medications/substances is prohibited.

Doesn't sound like too big of a thing

So ....... revoking his 4 month testing... is he going to be suspended or does he have to undergo 4 months of testing before he can fight in the UFC?

The 4-month testing thing is only for retired UFC fighters who make a return, not new signees

As far as I can tell from the article, he's not broken any regulations. He's taken something that is on the banned list and rather than risk a ban decided to wait until he's clean before he goes goes under USADA testing.

While I agree
It seems to say to me juice like crazy to get to the big show. Just don't get caught when you get there.
