Persistent posting error

I've had a persistent posting error where I start typing a reply, usually after quoting a post and my text first disappears then I'm no longer able to type. My auto-complete is still triggered so I know there's some acknowledgment of keyboard inputs but it seems to only extend about 2 characters.

This is on mobile. Android 6.0.1 in Chrome 54. Cookies recently deleted and no change to the problem.

I love/hate their tech culture. They are so brilliant with many moves and yet just totally botch so many releases with a beta feel to the whole thing.
