For me, the toughest part was seeing Gil KNOW that he couldn't win, yet still suffer immense pain to finish the fight, because of pride, and to not let his corner down.
Performances like this are what keep me a fan of this sport. Spinny shit is cool, but seeing a human stripped down to their bedrock, seeing their core revealed, seeing what makes a man a man, is why I watch.
