Is it? I wouldn't know, I catch it when I can but it's not readily available in the UK.

And back when I was stateside there was a 3 hour delay on some providers (twc)

Most of the bellator I watch is on this board or youtuYo

Bjorn had a good run in the beginning. I liked the tourney format at first. If you win you fight for the title, no names, no entertainment just winning which is what sports is all about. It def got messed up and Bjorn fucked a lot of things up. I like Coker dont get me wrong but we dont see fighters fighting enough. I havent seen pitbull in awhile or his brother, or Pat Curran or others. We keep getting these "name" fights but that wont help push the brand down the road. I mean we have two LHWs in a HW grand prix and a middle weight, i mean come on. The grand prix also wont finish, watch. I want Bellator to do well and I want some UFC talent to head over there but unless things really improve Patricio is right, viacom might not see it as viable anymore.

Do you watch Bellator live without cable? And where? Just interested since I am a cable cutter.

there are streaming services that offer paramount network.

sling tv and directtv come to mind.

one thing i definitely agree with is that fighters need to be more active in bellator. that has always been my beef. that and they need to start doing something with their prelim fights. show them on youtube or something. get some exposure out there.

havent watched the interview, but his brother is set to fight. pitbull was set to fight weichel before he got injured.

I agree it's possible.

Never going to grow if you force the viewer to chase you.

I'm a fan and i won't even do that.

Is it any different than watch 2 fights on fight pass then a couple more on fox sports 1 unless baseball is on then fox sports 2 then buy a ppv?

Just to expand for a moment. I've bitched about both companies changing times, changing channels, and even changing days that they show their events. People are creatures of habit. If i stumblr across fights on Friday night on Spike then maybe I'll look for them next Friday. If they're not there next week then my attention is going to get yanked elsewhere and who knows when I'll stumble upon them again.

I honestly think this is why they have tape delay on the west coast(i know i know). the problem is that traffic is brutal in la. people need time to get home and relax before watching some tv. I hate it as a fan, but i can see why they do it. no way most people in SoCal are getting home to watch some fights that start at 6, especially if they arent high profile.

it sucks for the hardcores, but i completely understand it.

Yes, more fights. Paramount now has a better platform for promotion.
Another yuge one is their favoritism, which I can't stand.
And they have not been smart at ALL on the kickboxing side.
Production-wise, their last show looked and felt Bjorn-era.
Although being a smaller venue, they didn't do the necessary things to make it polished. Strikeforce Challengers had better production value p4p.
I'd love to work on the production & creative side.

It's not more popular than ever. Ratings are down and PPVs have not trended upwards.. how can that be more popular than ever?

Who knows what's really going on behind the scenes between the Viacom execs and Coker? If the "suits" are deciding that Chael vs Rampage should headline over Lima vs Macdonald, that's a bad sign. If that was 100% Coker's call, it's an even worse sign. Strikeforce benefitted greatly from the purchase of EliteXC, but I don't see Bellator being in a position to purchase an entire organization as a way of bridging the talent gap in 2018.
