He has been tweeting about this all week, but none of the MMA financial reporters (Meltzer, Ourand, Nash) have confirmed it.

Earlier in the week he posted DAZN was going to get them, then posted they withdrew the offer

So he is a bit all over the place.

Personally I could see Viacom taking a good offer & seeing what is out there, but the fact that nobody else is discussing this makes it suspect for now

I like Viacom, but wouldn't be opposed atall if they found a better home (especially since Kevin Kay is out as president).

This
It all depends on WHO buys it (if up for sale).
Bellator is low on the Viacom totem pole
If they sell to someone that makes it a priority, than it could be good.

It is a smart time to sell since they should make a profit in 2019 with DAZN's $33m

Doesn't this Dizz guy post a lot of shit that never ends up happening?

Iirc he's a step below Front Row Brian in terms of credibility.

I had dealings with him & he seems like a good guy, but he post a lot of rumors.
Since he is not a 'journalist" he doesn't have to double/triple check sources, etc.
So sometimes he beats others to news because they are out verifying it
But, yes he seems wrong a lort

Could ONE afford to buy them and if they could, do they even understand
the American fan enough to make it work?

I just hope someone buys them that actually gives a damn about the sport.

No WMEs please

TMMAC should buy it. first owned organization by fans for fans. PPV for $5 and just carry huge debts to pay fighters. Refinance constantly and just move the debt from bank to bank under new hold co's.

or lauder big bucks for drug lords...

Dizz is a rumor monger, I think we shouldn't put too much stock into his words yet.

you know should buy it.....frank and lorenzo and build it in to a monster
Dana would say the best shit ever

But lets be honest the ufc is probably already planning to absorb the top 5 in most divisions.

Bellator literally has 5 fights if that per event that are real pros and does alot of amatuer or pro debut fights. Its kinda smart cause they save cash and find gems like DC, ronda and woodley (strikeforce) or MVP pico or Mckee (bellator)

Basically scott coker is the man but after a couple years they end up failing. Ive always thought he was a deep cover UFC sleeper cell just recuiting talent (or b level promotions) to hand feed to his egghead boss.
