Name: Damn Interesting

Link: http://www.damninteresting.com/damn-audio/

What's it about: Just a great story telling of history's tales. Some of these have, or came very near to, altered major historical course. Others are just incredible interest pieces of people and events that have been forgotten over time.

Anyone else love podcast for work, commuting, or exercising?

I listen to a lot of podcasts, at work, driving and around the house. I've never heard of Damn Interesting, I'll check it out. I listen to mostly comedy podcasts. As of lately I've preferred podcasts over music. Also there is a shit ton to be learned with podcasting. A lot of cool people out there sharing stories and ideas. I'm all in at this point.

Maybe it means that I'm old, but I don't care for most of the music of today. I listen to mostly podcasts these days. I have a lot. JRE was my favorite, but I am getting behind on them. I probably have 10 that I haven't heard yet. My other favorites are The fighter the kid, and You're Welcome with Chael, and the Herd with Colin Cowherd. I have wanted to listen to Eddie Bravo and hope to hear his conspiracy rants, but I haven't done it yet. For those of you who are into court room murder mystery shit, I recently listened to a series called Serial. It was a pretty quick listen, most episodes less than an hour. It detailed the case of a murdered student in Batimore in the late 90's. My friend told me about it. I told her that I would try 2 episodes to see if I liked it. Those aren't really my thing (see list above). I ended up listening to all 12 episodes in two days.

I didnt really like Serial. The host is ridiculously naive. Theres a cool 8 chapter murder trial documentary you can watch on youtube called The Staircase. I think you would really enjoy it. The case is more much complex and interesting.

just a few of my favorites listed in order of greatness imo.

Deep Inside the Rabbit Hole
http://deepinsidetherabbithole.com/

We discuss mind-blowing TRUTHS that flip the un-awakened persons world upside down and infuse it with humor so you don't jump off a bridge.
No Agenda Radio
http://www.noagendashow.com/

Curry tends towards a more counter-cultural outlook of the world. He often discusses his perceived links between current world events and a large number of conspiracy theories, most of which center around supposed global plans to bring about a so-called New World Order. Dvorak is much more mild tempered, often referencing his knowledge of history and his own life experience to shed light on the topics of the day, however, he appears to share many of the same opinions as Curry.
Common Sense with Dan Carlin
Dan Carlin's Hardcore History

http://www.dancarlin.com/

Common Sense is similar in scope to several Carlin-hosted radio programs that aired between 1994 and 2004. The shows highlighted his independent political views, his sense of humor, and unique communication style. The podcast riffs on current events and US politics. All sides of the political spectrum are subject to blistering criticism (and occasional praise).
Hardcore History is Carlin's forum for exploring topics throughout world history. The focus of each episode varies widely from show to show but they are generally centered around specific historical events and are discussed in a "theater of the mind" style.
the higherside chats
http://thehighersidechats.com/

The Higherside Chats is a weekly interview based podcast hosted by Greg Carlwood, that explores a whole host of conspiracy, paranormal, and all around fringe topics without (much) bias or agenda.
Gnostic Media
http://www.gnosticmedia.com/

Gnostic Media is open-source, independent media. Here the word ‘gnostic’ pertains to knowledge and not necessarily dogmatic ‘Gnostic’ teachings. The word gnostic has its origins in the word ‘knowledge’ or ‘to know’ [a. Gr. γνῶσις investigation, knowledge, f. γνω- root of γιγνώσκειν to know.]. Topics of investigation include: education and the 7 liberal arts (the trivium and quadrivium), mythology, theology, psychedelics, mind control, archaeoastronomy, politics, economics, philosophy, physics, consciousness, diet, health, law and natural law, human rights, and much more...
Red Ice Radio
http://www.redicecreations.com/radio/nonsubscriber.php

We seek truth and accuracy in the topics we cover. We discuss history, geopolitics, subversive movements, human nature, conspiracies, hidden agendas and sinister political ideologies. We expose the plans designed to make us malleable and easier to control. We analyze the enforcement of the "religion" of our times: pathological political correctness, cultural marxism and multiculturalism. We also cover health issues, out of control government, the application of technology and psuedo science on society, psychological conditioning, propaganda and manipulation. We also analyze the failures of the New Age and Abrahamic religions as opposed to the native heritage, culture and traditions of Europeans and other people.

The Conspiracy Skeptic
http://www.yrad.com/cs/

A podcast that offers a skeptical look at the great conspiracies of today and the not-too-distant past.

The True Murder podcast is cool. I can never read a non fiction crime book and this gives you the story by the author under 2 hours.

Serial is also great and a new thriller soon.

For bullshit and laughs listen to Brilliant Idiots

Hardcore History the Khans are fabulous. Hated countdown to Armageddon. It's factually correct of course but his interpretation was off.

Love Podcasts and listen to them at home while I work, in the car, on my walks/bike rides. I love learning and love interesting, thought provoking conversations.
