Poirier inks new UFC deal

After nearly fighting out his contract, lightweight contender Dustin Poirier has signed a new multi-fight deal with the UFC.

No specifics of the new contract, including monetary value, were released, other than the fact it's a multi-fight deal, which was confirmed by FOX Sports' Damon Martin.

Nice he could potentially make top 5, since he is adding a wrestling dimension to his game and didn't gas vs Duffy.

Porier, Brooks and Masvidal all push eachother at ATT. I guess it doesn't surprise me that they all have gotten a lot better. It should be interesting how much better all 3 of them could be in 2016.

Disappointing, unless he got a nice pay boost. If people continue to sign with the UFC, it's going to be very hard to blame Reebok for everything.

Great news. Always been a fan of him since he came onto the scene. The way he beat Duffy was phenomenal, it surprised me a little considering the run Duffy had been on. Dudes still young and growing with each fight, and he's at his perfect weight now. Can only see good things from here on, probably top 5 eventually.

I hope the best for him and think he should be fighting there as opposed to anywhere else.......however, signing early, historically speaking, doesn't give you the best look at your value.
