For me, nothing gets me more than Johnny Cash's cover of NiN's "Hurt"...

As if Reznor's ode to depression and drug addiction wasn't enough, Cash began covering songs, including this one, as he was told by doctors he had 18 months to live. The guy is one of the biggest stars in history and had a notorious battle with drugs and alcohol and completely flipped his life around when he met June Carter Cash. They were married for 35 years and he spoke about her with every interview and song. She died just after this song was released and he died 4 months after that.
He knew the end was coming and the song sings much more like an honest assessment of what matters in life when its all said and done than the addict caught in their own web of demons that the original highlights.
So post a song. Give context if an otherwise benign song has a hidden meaning.
