It's said when writing 'bad guys', a good writer will present the bad guy's pov and you see he truly believes what he is fighting for is right and that he sees himself as the hero of his story and not a villain of someone else's story.

Most Marvel characters are direct rip-offs of DC characters, but I think Marvel told better stories. So I'll take Thanos over Darkseid.

Fair enough. I didn't like what DC did with Nu52 Darkseid, turning him into a big dumb, turn up and start punching people in the face type villain. And his redesign is atrocious. I doubt they've done anything to correct that, I dropped all Nu52 titles in favour of buying Snyder's Batman in collected form. I think this is why I'll always love Darkseid...

He's not bad, but i'm not fond of the whole anti-life equation angle. Also when you get beaten by batman as a demigod...

I do like the way if you wanna fight DS you pretty much have to fight your way through Apokolips first, or draw him out.
