Post your favorite venison recipes

I haven't hunted deer in years, but I was home recently and the old man bagged a couple this year. I brought home some venison steaks. My plan is to hit some cilantro with the pestle and combine that with some salt and pepper to make a rub, then sear the steak in a pan, lower the heat, and cook to medium rare. Likely served with sweet potatoes and veggies.

I like to saute them up in butter and a little salt and pepper. Great with eggs!

Minus the eggs, that's exactly how we did them while cutting up the rest of the deer when I was growing up. That's why this is my favorite meat!

Fin. Venison with sweet potato and veggies.

It was still pink in the middle, but a little over cooked. I let it go about two minutes per side over medium heat. For a steak this thin, I should have pulled it after 90 seconds per side. It was good though.
