I wear a short sleeve rash guard under my gi except for the last few classes before a competition. I don’t like wearing long sleeve rash guards under the gi because it lets the sleeves slip up your arms really easily, and it can screw up people’s sleeve grips.
No-gi I almost always wear a long sleeve rash guard and spats. I am very skeptical of the anti microbial claims of some rash guards, so I have never bought one of those. I think you are just as protected by wearing the rashguard and washing it right after training.
