I think he was talking about leaving 7 years ago..."I loved the place I worked, I just hated the guy in charge."
Oh jeez...I guess that means more fuckery on Dynamite this Wednesday.
Maybe so. But it was also right after Rollins talked about Punk taking a bunch of money to work for the competition and "how'd that work out for you?", too.I think he was talking about leaving 7 years ago...
Its a call back to a promo in his last run where he said the same thing. Same thing with the arrows... call back to a t shirt design in his last run.
I think it was intended to be ambiguous. I actually rewound it multiple times to nail down if he was talking about Tony or Vince and really have no idea.I think he was talking about leaving 7 years ago...

Id assume it was more Vince than Tony... since Punk also hated several of the children he worked with in AEW.I think it was intended to be ambiguous. I actually rewound it multiple times to nail down if he was talking about Tony or Vince and really have no idea.
Punk is also one of the best at reaction shots to what others are doing/saying. Him and Roman do some great character work with just glares, and attitude when they aren't even speaking.Pretty good promo... but cant take Rollins seriously looking like a fucking goof.
If anything, this really showed the levels of mic work.
Punk and Heyman are levels above everyone still around (add Cena to that list when he comes back next week).
Yeah, that makes sense. It couldn't be Tony, because the second part was, "And he LOVED you!"
In context it has to be Vince, a sideways swipe of "I hated the scumbag now-pariah-to-society Vince, but that scumbag loved you," because Seth and the rest of the Shield got a major push from Vince.
Some online suggested it was HHH, but he wasn't in charge in 2014, and those two have buried the hatchet apparently since as always with wrestlers its about drawing money.
His "Ladies & Gentlemen"...before he even came out...on his return got easily one of the biggest pops of the year. lolBut no doubt, Heyman is a savant on the mic these days,
Punk should love Tony CoKahne. Tony has recently said that airing the Punk/Jack Perry footage as the reason AEW got their new TV deal.Yeah, that makes sense.
Though the fact that we can (have to?) even entertain the thought of "oh fuck, what is TK gonna do in response to *this*?" says all you need to know in the first place.
