Lets see what nonvoters actually think:

View attachment 18028View attachment 18029

Nonvoters are more likely to be independent than voters.

When checking on their political leaning of these non voters what you see an exchange of Republican party for independent non-party thinking. They do not lean Democrat more. They lean Republican less. It is also not nearly universal. In fact, it appears that non-voters are less politically leaning than any other group.

And this isn't weighted for the fact that this is a younger and less white crowd. They are even less left leaning than would be expected.

Free your mind, don't vote?
Hey Splinty, is it you that has a particular hatred of Luke Thomas or is it Wild?

He was proudly telling his idiotic audience, which too often includes me, how he doesn't vote.

Imagine thinking you're smarter than everyone else and hosting an MMA program where you constantly berate your audience into sharing your dumb political views (I'd describe them as 'State Department Socialist'). But despite these strongly held views you are so dumb that you are a) in the cohort of idiots who don't vote and b) openly admit it and are proud of it.

Dude is a walking parody.

But my point, other than to engage in self-hatred for consuming Thomas' content is that for most normal people, the rule is pretty simple: Either participate in electoral politics, participate in organised civil disobedience if you feel the electoral process has failed, or even be a nutcase that is willing to engage in violence for political purposes. Otherwise you forfeit the right to even discuss politics with anybody, let alone preach to them.

America's original electoral sin is that people like Thomas are normalized. It's why the country has drifted so far to the right.

I never get deep enough into MMA Media personalities to develop any personal linking of the individuals.
The collective is such a shitstorm that I just blur it all in my mind.
The finest piece of "fight" related writing I've ever seen is this:

Would it kill MMA writers to give me some longform epic writing? The literary equivalent of those over the top Pride stories about Crocops dead father and him fighting for family pride from his wartorn basement?
I need to feel connected dammit!
MMA media overwhelmingly leaves me unconnected in their works and with it unconnected to the media themselves

Clearly not as old as you, boomer.
I'm not old enough to have been voting in the 80s but I'm old enough to know the entire western political system has measurably moved left in my lifetime. Started with Clinton and his sexcapades.

It moved left on allowing us to do some interracial butt stuff.

It moved right on doing butt stuff to us with the economy.

Luke Thomas has really good MMA insight and he's entertaining. If he wasn't such a pompous douche, I might actually find him enjoyable. He and I are just too far apart on the spectrum though, when it comes humility and how one should treat people.

strange how two people can be so close on the autism spectrum, and so far apart on the humility spectrum

I just voted for my Biden/Harris overlords.

I was actually impressed with the type of voting this time. They have paper trail!

You go in and get a ticket. You put that in the machine and touch screen the whole thing. That prints out a ballot that the computer can read. You then drop that into a scanner which counts your votes. The paper ballots are retained in a locked box (probably just a shred box lol)
