Coming back to Bellator isn't all bad it seems.

"The problem with MMA right now is that most people think that MMA is called UFC. I know on my social media when I tag I'm fighting in Bellator people are like, ‘Why are you going to Bellator? Why are you going to Bellator?' Nothing against UFC because I've had my differences with UFC. They're a great company but I would say some people's dream is to go to the UFC but it's not everybody's dream. I like the UFC, I like Bellator. I don't have to wear Reebok. I'm happy that I'm not forced to wear a clothing brand that's not really a good fit for me. So that's one benefit to being in Bellator versus being in UFC."

"But like I said, right now all the new fighters you can tell they're just fans coming in to fight. They're fans so they don't know any better. That's their dream. The UFC's been around longer than Bellator so that's probably their dream to go to the UFC. So if that's their dream to go to the UFC and to wear Reebok to make the UFC more money then go ahead. Whatever makes you happy."

I imagine a guy with Rampage's visibility can make some serious sponsorship money.
yep fighting in the UFC is the lure for most up and comers, but the guys whos done it are now fighting for the cash. Sponsorship money is where the true dollar is made. Nothing personal its business for the guys who have made the show...

It honestly depends on how big your name is. Sponsorship for a lot of fighters is probably better than their show money. I mean aldo was making like 150 to show as champ no?

I know he isn't big here, but he can draw in Brazil. I'm sure he had quite a bit of money coming from sponsors. Which is why he battled with reebok for a couple of months no?

Yes so we will see these guys finally get screwed over one to many times and then boom gone for the money. Not sure how much the back room bonuses are tho

I'm sure there are quite a few fighters who are itching to test the waters. Contracts drag the process out tho. Not only that. Bellator seems to be taking their time, picking and choosing big name fighters whom they deem fit for their plan. Rory situation will tell us a lot about how devoted bellator is to becoming a real player in mma.

One thing that is hampering bellator tho are these allegations that light made. I'm sure Rory will have to keep that in mind if he decides to test the waters. We can assume that most allegations are shit thrown at the wall, but the forged medicals is what really has me interested. Especially with what just happened to kimbo R.I.P.

Wasn't Rampage sponsored by Reebok before they partnered with the UFC? Like didn't he have his own shoe quite a while back? Or was that a different brand?...

Maybe I'm remembering incorrectly...
