Rampage wants Shogun because it's a winnable fight, he stated he wants to try another run to the title, and racking up wins against name opponents, regardless of how far out of their prime they are, will help his case. If he gets 3 or 4 wins against inferior (not calling Shogun inferior) opponents with a name, he'll probably get lined up with a contender for a title shot. Fight's pretty much a toss up, but everyone who has beaten Shogun lately outside of Hendo has ended up in the title hunt.
