RDA says Khabib needs 'to work more' if he wants a title shot

UFC lightweight champion, Rafael dos Anjos, does not believe a win over Darrell Horcher should put Khabib Nurmagomedov in title contention, despite his loss to "The Eagle" back in 2014.

Rafael dos Anjos doesn't feel like Khabib Nurmagomedov deserves to fight him again just yet. As the current UFC lightweight champion told UFC Brasil, he feels like Khabib is not working hard enough for his crack at the title.

"Khabib hasn't fought in two years and now he wants a six-month break? A lot of stuff will happen until November. He should fight more. He can't go around thinking he'll fight for the belt whenever he wants, especially when his results don't guarantee that. He just beat a guy who has a second job."

I tend to agree with RDA. Khabib beat him once before but that was a while ago. I think Khabib needs to do more work before his title shot. Maybe 1 more win over a ranked guy would do it.

RDA makes sense, but who's really keeping up with how the fight gets booked?? There were plenty of cases where some fighter beat a mediocre irrelevant competition and was granted a title shot immediately. And lately, best word to describe how the UFC is turning is probably "Cluster Fuck", with Conor doing whatever he wants and all that BS that follows. I want to see Khavib fight RDA, Khavib already has a dominating win over RDA so it makes sense if Khavib is healthy to fight.
