I just finished watching Ready to Rumble for the first time. It was what I expected, movie-wise: goofy and harmless(other than the Twisted Sister covers on the soundtrack, that was painful).
As someone who grew up on pro wrestling(Stampede) in the 80's, but hasn't watched since the Monday Night Wars, I was struck by how many guys in this movie are dead.
Randy Savage, Bam Bam, Curt Hennig, Chris Kanyon, all gone way too young. The list might be longer, but looking through the credits became depressing.
Not sure where I'm going with this, but the movie brought back a bunch of memories, so I figured I'd see if anyone wanted to chime in.
