I just finished watching Ready to Rumble for the first time. It was what I expected, movie-wise: goofy and harmless(other than the Twisted Sister covers on the soundtrack, that was painful).

As someone who grew up on pro wrestling(Stampede) in the 80's, but hasn't watched since the Monday Night Wars, I was struck by how many guys in this movie are dead.
Randy Savage, Bam Bam, Curt Hennig, Chris Kanyon, all gone way too young. The list might be longer, but looking through the credits became depressing.

Not sure where I'm going with this, but the movie brought back a bunch of memories, so I figured I'd see if anyone wanted to chime in.

Yeah, but that was Bischoff's doing. DA is on record saying he didn't want the title and knew he didn't deserve it.

That whole time was such an amazing clusterfuck. "Easy E" just threw shit at the wall to see what would stick.

Unfortunately, for every Chris Jericho, there was about a dozen Moppys.
