lol unbelievable...

Renzo must be in better shape than Sakuraba by now. I think he wins by ground and pound.

Renzo will destroy saku. While renzo was eating acai and training saku was eating headkicks and forgetting how to turn on light switches

Sakuraba was in horrible shape in his last fight and i cant imagine hes any healthier this is like gabi garcia fighting hilary clinton

I though renzo had a ufc contract
I think it was one of those one and done deals (ala James Toney). They MAY have had first rights to resign, but that was so long ago, and under Zuffa ownership that I think the length of the deal lapsed.

I mean renzo was well past done in mma when he signed to fight matt hughes years ago and at was over 100 ufc ppvs ago.he had talked about a comeback for years afterwords.it is probably best that he fights saku if he is going to return and i dont expect it to be much more than a grappling match.it is probably best for saku if he never fights again but at least if he fights renzo he wont be taking a savage beating like he did vs aoki

Maybe, but it's hard to take that serious, (as well as his do a that ONE is doing the right things) when they're putting this match on.

jason73 @jason73 nailed it on the head
This is a match where neither guy is going to get killed by striking
If they want to still fight and they pass medical, these are the types of matches that are ok to make

Bring back IFL! Sorry. That was random. Reading about Renzo reminded me of the Pitbulls. I was more of a Silverback fan, though.

I would like to pretend that this enrages me to see these old men fighting again, but it doesn't. Mainly because they are fighting each other. I don't expect the striking to be anywhere near great. It will be grappling heavy and both are well past their prime. If they were rolling one of them out against a younger guy like RIZIN did with Ayoki/Sakuraba I would feel differently.
