Report: Cerrone vs. Hernandez added to UFC Brooklyn

After recently teasing for a fight with former two-weight champion Conor McGregor, Donald Cerrone will have to wait for a fight with the Irishman, as ‘Cowboy’ is slated to fight rising contender Alexander Hernandez at UFC Brooklyn.

MMAjunkie first reported the news. The UFC is yet to make an official announcement. Cerrone and Hernandez will fight in the featured bout of the ESPN prelims that will be broadcasted nationally.

Cerrone (34-11) is coming off of a Performance of the Night win against Mike Perry, submitting him in the first round at UFC Denver last month. After the win, Cerrone said he will drop back down to 155-pounds for his next fight, in the hope of making …

They take their stars and just waste them on stupid fights. Cowboy is a goddamned superstar. Get him some big name opponents!!!!

Not saying Hernandez isn't a good fighter but he ain't a big name. Either the kid makes a name for himself against Cowboy or just eats a loss. But this is NOT some big fight we will all be looking forward to.....
