It appears that it didn't take long for the UFC to re-book Dan Henderson after his UFC on Fox 19 bout was scuttled.

Lyoto Machida's drug testing issues removed him from this weekend's UFC on Fox 19 bout with Dan Henderson, but the UFC is apparently re-booking Hendo fairly soon. According to a report from Sherdog, Henderson will meet Hector Lombard at middleweight at UFC 199 on June 4th in Los Angeles.

The 45-year-old Henderson (31-14, 8-8 UFC) is coming off a quick loss to Vitor Belfort last November. He's 1-2 since he returned to the 185-pound division, with a knockout win over Tim Boetsch along with the Belfort loss and a loss to Gegard Mousasi.

Lombard (34-5-1, 2 NC, 3-3, 1 NC UFC) returned from a drug suspension last month, dropping a controversial welterweight bout to Neil…

Bummed out about this weekend but rather watch this match up than Machida's boring side to side style.

So fight gets cancelled because of PED abuse, and they give him a person that was busted for PED abuse. Well at least he gets to fight, and close to his home town.

Weird matchup.

I could see Lombards speed causing Hendo a lot of oroblems.

But if it goes past the second round, I expect Hendo to out wrestle and smash him.

For some reason I can't see the H-bomb connecting on Lombard unless he is unbelievably gassed.

Just that he fades after 4-5 minutes and isn't a top 10 caliber fighter IMO. I think Hendo's got a real shot here.
Agreed, his cardio is atrocious. He's top 15 for sure at 170, but this fight is going to be at 185 if I'm not mistaken. Hendo has a shot against almost anybody not named Daniel Cormier.

I have really mixed feelings. I'm really hot on Lombard, he's been nothing but nice to me, and I do think he is very good, just hasn't performed up to his potential. I like both fighters and I don't want Dan risking any more trauma, because this could end up being his last fight, don't give him an olympic Judoka with scary power.

Dan could definitely win this fight but I'm scared

Lombard's chin had to of faded a bit after Magny rearranged his brain cells for a round and a half. The only way I see Hendo winning is if he can make it to round 3 but I think he gets blitzed like Vitor did to him.

Now that you bring this up, I honestly can't believe Lombard still isn't on medical suspension and has been cleared to fight so soon after that ass whoopin.

Lombard not top 10 'caliber'? Sure the point about his awful gas tank is valid, and he is potentially overrated depending on who you talk to - obviously not overrated in this thread - but nagger please. He would be a top 10 ranked WW right now had ref stopped Magny fight in round 1 (not that I think it should have, but it would've been 90% of the time) and people would be calling for him to have a contender fight based off of it. He would have been firmly entrenched in the MW top 10 too had Okami and Boetsch splits gone his way (Boetsch definitely should've). He is definitely top 10 'caliber' in either division, even if he correctly isn't ranked there right now.

Guy has lost two fights in his last 32 semi-legitimately, or three if you include a robbery, to top 10 fighters, one was a split decision and the other was a fight that 9/10 times would have resulted in a victory. He absolutely ragdolled Jake Shields and Paul Harris in the UFC. Let's not pretend he isn't still a monster.

Hendo is completely finished, Lombard still has a little juice (pardon the pun) left. Lombard will win this within 4 minutes, I'd put that basically as close to a certainty that you can get in a non-mismatch MMA fight.

The beauty is that fight is 2 months away and this post will be forgotten unless I bump it in the event that I am right. I assume everyone that posts on here basically huffs paint for breakfast like me, by the time the fight happens I can just say 'I told you Hendo would win', then be declared Nostradamus 2.0 and given a parade.

Let's keep it bumped, so we cannot only determine who the dipshit is here, but talk massive amount of shit along the way.

I want Hendo to win, but there's no way he's going to win. He's going to get KTFO in under 2 minutes, and I'm leaning towards under 1 minute.
