Report: Khabib vs Ferguson is a title eliminator

It's been a tough couple of years for Khabib Nurmagomedov but the Dagestani looks to be back in the hot seat ahead of his fight with Tony Ferguson at UFC on Fox 19.

The UFC have yet to confirm the bout but Nurmagomedov assured fans he will face "El Cucuy" in a five-round lightweight title eliminator on Instagram earlier today.

Being a khabib fan is a lot like being a redskins fan. You get used to disappointment.

On one hand I'd go b-a-n-a-n-a-s for Khabib/Conor (and the preflight buildup). On the other, Conor won't even be in the UFC when Khabib is ready, spring 2018.

hm... not sure if I should be excited yet. Should always have a reserve if you're signing to fight some of the names like Khavib, Cain, or Jose... I used to be a huge fan of these guys but totally burnt out from their injuries and inactivity. At this point, I no longer care until they have weighed in.
