From translation:
The Swedish MMA veteran Reza "Maddog Madadi" will not compete in the UFC anymore. It can MMABetz.se exclusively announce.Maddog who competed in the world's largest MMA organization since 2012 says in an interview with MMABetz that he opted not to renew his contract with the UFC when the organization was not willing to increase his salary for "Maddogs' last match.

Exklusitvt: Reza Maddog Madadi slutar i UFC – lönen är för dålig

Imo he definitely did the right thing if he's already 38 and has higher offers elsewhere.

He's 2-4 in his last 6. No way in hell the UFC would give him a raise, but maybe he's more valuable to a promotion from overseas. So this is probably the right call for him.

Go to Bellator and put him on their new European cards. He and Sakara can headline cards over there.

I feel like it's a blend of two things. Merely being a UFC fighters doesn't necessarily pay, and world wide mma is growing.

I'm sure many of these fighters will field offers from all over the world. A lot of these dudes could probably go back home and get paid decent money. I mean look at some of these Russian who chose not to re-sign with the UFC

Being a "UFC fighter" doesn't have the same luster it once had.
