Solid guy.
Sometimes when the Rsds played the Brewers I'd sync up the TV feed to match the MLB Radio feed to listen to him call the game.
He was a funny dude for sure - but he also called a pretty good game. That gets overlooked.

For someone that had a mediocre career as a player, he sure did become a great ambassador of the game. Also a great story teller. Loved seeing him on the talk show circuit.
