Because he played on terrible Blue Jays teams his body of work doesn't really get the respect it deserves. I once watched him throw a 9 inning 4-1 victory in (I believe) under 2 hours. We didn't even have time to get drunk.

I think Halladay runs away with it. He was putting up great stats on absolute trash teams.

Shit news. RIP.

He was the best pitcher in the game for a good period of time. I recall an interview when he said he aimed to have fewer walks than GS in a season and he kind of accomplished it in his prime.

RIP. He was obviously a really big deal up here in Canada. Great pitcher and quality guy from everything I've heard and read.
