Click bait title. The article doesn't go into any detail but i can't find anything better and it's still a very interesting stat. Robbie seems to be doing alright despite this.

Lawler has absorbed 953 significant strikes in UFC competition since Jan. 1, 2013, the most of any fighter in the company since that date.

953 is nuts. He’s become a counter striker instead of the vicious dude that was always on the attack. Would like to see him get a fight against a guy that he can beat and get some confidence back.

Robbie is great at rolling with shots, and when you consider that a lot of those aren't head shots, it's probably not as bad as it seems. Although I'm sure the war with Rory probably took a few years off his life.

the latest video of RDA teeing off shows this. not many of those strikes got through to his head. wonder how many of those were counted as SS though

A lot. Those stats are historically inaccurate (both in MMA and boxing).

A few years ago after Condit/Lawler I put the footage into AVID and re-watched all the exchanges in slow motion and tallied them up, the stats were way off, they gave Condit credit for a lot of strikes that came close but were blocked.
