Props to @Joe Rogan for speaking the truth.
It's a tough situation. I don't fault Schaub for not speaking out against it but I would have liked to see him at least stand up for himself a bit. I understand not wanting to rock the ship.schaub type people are part of the problem. he's popular enough to have people listen, but he'd rather suck dick than to show how wrong dana is. i haven't heard any fighters say they liked this deal, but a lot of them said it was shit.
the more the fighters bend over for the ufc, the worse it will get. they won't fire the popular fighters, so he has no need to worry. he should think of it this way, taking a stand now, will be good for the fighters of the ufc. the ufc has their sponsors plastered everywhere, so no, this deal won't make it look more professional, or make it better for the fighters. It's a tough situation. Dana definitely deserves a plate of hot justice.Dana is such an immature prick.
I'd give my life savings to see him exposed and shamed on the world stage.
Some people know OF him, and like him.
Some people know of him and don't.
Most people who know him extensively where ideology pervades fear of his overreaching power can't stand him.
I'm just grateful I'm in no situation where I'm underneath him, or would be forced to do something drastic in retaliation for the persecution that accompany's the movement of his mouth.
Agree.A lot of the blame should also fall on the Fertittas as well. Actually most of it since they are the ones that make the decisions and Dana is simply the face of it. They play good cop and let Dana play bad cop and take all the blame.
Yeah, that was pretty cringe worthy to watch.Schaub comes across as such a mark here. Jesus.
You know, I'm not too sure. The looks between Rogan and Schaub, the way it got brought up, and the fact Bryan Callen was going on about this on the fighter and the kid as well, make it seem a little orchestrated to me. I think Schaub has talked to them before hand, and agreed to have these conversations and asked his friends to speak out against Dana, while remaining respectful himself. Allowing him to get his side of the story out.Yeah, that was pretty cringe worthy to watch.

While this is going on he can sit there denouncing speaking out against Dana and covering his own ass from getting fired or some other retribution. I think he handled it fairly well, it isn't easy to take a shit on your boss, but having your friends do it, publicly, whom are significantly more insulated from retribution, gets your message across, while also protecting your own interests.
Everyone knows Dana was either lying or severely misinformed, the UFC know Schuab's upset but willing to play ball, and he didn't have to slag off the face of the company directly. It was a difficult situation for Schaub, but I think this is the best possible solution he could have worked out.
